Chang Ge

Chang Ge is a 20-year-old violist currently studying under Prof. Diyang Mei at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin.

She has taken part in masterclasses with many of the world’s leading violists, including Michael Kugel, Naoko Shimizu, Pierre-Henri Xuereb, and the legendary Nobuko Imai. Further enriching her development, she has also studied with Hariolf Schlichtig, Nils Mönkemeyer, and Timothy Ridout.

Chang has had the opportunity to collaborate with distinguished musicians such as Prof. Claudio Bohórquez, Prof. Stephan Picard, Prof. Ulf Wallin, and Janet Sung.

Her competition successes include advancing in the International Cecil Aronowitz Viola Competition (UK) in June 2020, winning First Prize at the Rocky Mountain Concerto Competition (Fall Season) in November 2021. Most recently, she was selected to participate in the Concours de Genève—International Music Competition in 2025.
